Recession slashes Top 10 lists to Top 5 lists
(March 6, 2009) -- Pick up a newspaper, national magazine or tune in to a news show on television and, from the words written and spoken, you would think the world is coming to an end. If you continue to listen (or read) closely, the end of days is apparently upon us.
President Obama inherited the current recession from ex-President Bush. But, who started the recession? Not President Bush. Think greedy Wall Streeters, greedy bank execs, greedy oil company execs who rolled in the cash with $4-plus fuel prices at the pump, greedy people out to make a buck at the expense of unsuspecting, hard-working, innocent American middle class workers.
Everyone is having to make cuts, spend less, change their lifestyles, save their money for hard(er) times by keeping it their bedroom mattress instead of a bank.
elbertreble has been forced to make cuts, too. I have to use less words in my webcolumn. Therefore, in doing so, I give you only Top 5 lists -- instead of the usual Top 10 lists (and without italics and/or quote marks designating movie, TV or CD titles).
